A solid 400-600k per hit at 3.5x combo.As of the Veilbreaker update, Radial Javelin no longer has an enemy cap. Another fun perk of a melee excal is Slash Dash will hit like a truck. Blast also ruins head-crits which EB is capable of getting and kinda the only thing that keeps the Umbra set comparable to just using Primed Pressure Point. The downside is you'll have to go pretty deep in levels before energy waves stop deleting enemies and you can actually hit them in melee range. Unfortunately due to Umbra's Specter mode he turns off EB for some reason anytime you jump into Operator which also drops 60% frontal mitigation so it's more tricky to do without now.īlast is fine if you're a turret Excal however it's awful if you want to melee with Excalt which automatically does so much more damage it's not even comparable thanks to the combo multiplier. This wasn't needed if you could get two Magus Elevate sets. Which brings around Life Strike / Healing Return. Until Umbra I used both Primed Fury and Berserk. Short and sweet version is faster lower damage waves are always better even without considering Armor strip.īerserk maintains if you're constantly using Exalted Blade but if there's a break in your attacks it can fall off and be less consistent. Spoiled Strike is never good, esp on Exalted Blade due to the way it calculates fall-off over distance and number of enemies hit.

There’s absolutely no benefit in running a full ranked Life Strike since you’ll still get healed quite a bit with an unranked version and it won’t be as energy taxing when channeling.
If you want heals while channeling, go for an unranked Life Strike. Berserker is definitely much needed to get that attack speed up.Īnd if you’re like me, Healing Return helps for passive healing without channeling.

I personally run Gas on Exalted Blade since it synergizes well with Radial Blind and opening enemies to Finishers, which Gas benefits, and running Cold as Excaliburs energy color since cold procs extends the duration of status elements whenever its proc is in effect.Īs for auxiliary mods to boost your damage further, I would definitely recommend Sacrificial Steel/True Steel and Organ Shatter to boost those crits. Since it’s so easy to achieve 100% Status Chance, it’ll benefit you greatly to have an energy color that is independent to your elemental combos. With regards to Condition Overload, this is an exceptional case since you’ll be stacking stat procs to boost your melee damage.Īlso please consider the energy color for Excalibur so that it’s not additive to any of the elemental combos you have equipped on Exalted Blade.
Once you use the augment Chromatic Blade, IPS is removed.Īlso, whoever tells you otherwise Blast on Exalted Blade is actually a good element to use not for the reason you think it is (elemental damage) but because whenever it procs it counts as 2 status ailments instead of one like any other elemental combo (same for Gas). Do slash mods affect EB even though the added damage isn't shown on the status sidebar?
